Science-based sperm technologies for better outcomes.
Advancing assisted reproduction by addressing the biological needs of sperm, mimicking natural capacitation to improve fertilization and embryo quality.
Our development is supported by collaborations with
leading clinical, scientific and industry partners.
THE SCIENCE BEHIND BETTER IVF OUTCOMES
Built on Sperm Biology
Fecundis is a biotechnology company developing sperm-centered technologies for assisted reproduction.
Decades of research in sperm capacitation are translated into practical, clinically supported tools that help IVF laboratories improve sperm function and support embryo development and ART performance.
The Missing Step in IVF
Successful fertilization depends on sperm capacitation — a biochemical transformation that naturally occurs in the female reproductive tract before sperm interact with the egg.
Where Standard Preparation Methods Fall Short
Most sperm preparation methods focus on washing and selecting motile sperm, but they do not fully reproduce the physiological signals required for optimal sperm function.
The Fecundis Approach
Fecundis technologies recreate key biochemical signals involved in physiological capacitation, helping IVF laboratories work with sperm cells in a more functionally relevant state.
Supported by published clinical evidence, this approach helps improve sperm performance and contributes to better IVF outcomes.
OUR LEAD PRODUCT
HyperSperm
HyperSperm is a sequential-step kit designed to recreate, in vitro, key physiological transitions associated with sperm capacitation under controlled laboratory conditions. By bringing relevant biochemical and physical cues into the workflow, HyperSperm supports a more biologically informed sperm preparation process for IVF and ICSI.
Seamless Clinical Integration
Standard Selection
Sperm sample is processed and motile sperm are isolated using standard clinic protocols (e.g., density gradient or swim-up).
HyperSperm Processing
Isolated sperm are incubated with HyperSperm media, inducing physiological
capacitation.
Fertilization As Usual
Capacitated sperm are used immediately for ICSI or conventional IVF, requiring no change to the embryologist’s technique.
Clinical Evidence of Impact
Results from controlled IVF studies comparing oocytes from the same cycle show improved embryo development, embryo quality and euploidy outcomes.

Peer-Reviewed Evidence
A multicenter, prospective sibling oocyte study revealed that HyperSperm™ improves the number and quality of embryos in patients undergoing in vitro fertilization.

Fecundis at ESHRE 2026: Bringing Sperm Biology Into the IVF Conversation
Fecundis joined ESHRE 2026 in London, presenting HyperSperm and discussing the growing role of sperm biology, capacitation, and functional sperm preparation in the future of IVF.
Biology-Inspired Sperm Selection: Can It Improve Embryo Quality in ICSI?
A new ICSI study suggests that cumulus cell-mediated sperm selection may improve blastocyst rates, highlighting the importance of sperm physiology beyond motility and morphology.
